My wife, Elise Hurst, is an artist - she paints portraits and landscapes, as well as writing and illustrating children's books.

For the last six years I have been studying linguistics at the University of Melbourne. Last year I commenced my doctorate which is related to the representation of reciprocals in syntactic theory. (See research)
